R

ay Goldstein, 81, a senior partner who had been with the firm for more than 40 years, passed away in April 2013. “Ray was the father figure for many of us at the firm,” said Jeffrey Rice, former managing partner. “He was one of the kindest, most caring men we have ever known. We always knew that we could turn to Ray for wise insights regarding both business and personal matters. His patient yet diligent efforts on behalf of his clients benefited thousands of people over his long career in obtaining justice.”

Goldstein served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He moved to Fort Myers from Philadelphia where he grew up in the 1960s and immediately became actively involved in the growing community. He joined the firm in 1972 and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in 1957 and his law degree from American University in 1961. He was a member of the Lee County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
